Girl/Guy - Back For More

That picture is one of the reasons why I came back for another dose of the Dance Team's Girl/Guy Routine.  I mean, take a frickin' look.  One dude's cheeks are puffed out from workin' it so hard.  The blonde (Baleigh?) is completely aware of everything that's going on, is laughing about it, yet flashing signs.  Another guy has his tongue out.  Layce is lost in the dance.  Eli is just lost.  Anna is enjoying the show.  And the Terp is just trying to hide.  I mean, why wouldn't I come back again???

Valentine's Day Pommers!

There's a tradition, it seems, that each year, around Valentine's Day, the Dance Team reaches out an olive branch to the boys, inviting them to perform a girl/guy routine.  This is a good tradition.  Watching a group of (predominantly) white young men trying to dance is surprisingly gut-bursting hilarious.  But they did help put on a good show, as their enthusiasm more than made up for their lack of dancing chops.  This was just a fun one all the way around...

State Bound!

I'm soooooooooooo proud of my seeesters and all their teammates for making it to state!  Great job ladies!  I hope the football team is taking notes.  (I kid, I kid).  In honor of their accomplishment, I put together a little video of their state-qualifying Hip Hop Routine.  Enjoy it after the break.

Hip Hop Routine

Yesterday, the ladies showed off their much anticipated Hip Hop routine.  It did not disappoint.  I think the girls got louder cheers than the basketball team.  To top it all off, they placed 4th of 12 teams at today's Freedom meet!  Great work, ladies!  We're very proud of all of you and are glad that all those 5am wake-up calls have been worth it.

Jazz Routine

The ladies were back at it on Tuesday, dancing before the basketball game ("sidelines") and during halftime.  This was their Jazz routine, which was one of the two routines they prepared for the Freedom meet, which was held earlier today (results forthcoming).  I liked the Jazz routine.  I really did.  But I didn't get it.  At all.  Some of the girls were crying.  It was very emotional.  And while it was cool, it looked out of place at halftime of a basketball game.  Again, I liked it.  But... crying?  It was an Adele song, but it wasn't "Someone Like You."  So I really didn't get it.  Then again, I'm a boy.  Whatever.  Let's start with some sidelines...

12/20 Pommin' Basketball Parents' Night

Juuuuuuuuust got one last pommin' in before Christmas.  But since it was Parents' Nigh/Junior High Collaboration Day, the routine was, well, routine.

Nutcracker

I am such a bad blogger.  My gosh, this happened LAST YEAR!  Sorry Anna.  I'll try to keep more up to date in the future...
