Level 2 Pommin'

No Anna this week (out with a foot, as Al Michaels would say).  But Stephanie Eden helped the rest of the Pommers rock a new routine.  Just getting it ready for basketball season, I bet...

Level 1 Pommin'

Boo-Ya

While Milwaukee-Madison only brought two cheerleaders to the Level 1 Playoff Game, the full compliment of dancers from the Pom Squad came to cheer on their football Ships.

Frosh Powder Puff

You mess with the bull, you're gonna get the horns.

The Wilson Junior High Freshman Class held an intra-squad Powder Puff football game at "The Bowl" on Wednesday, October 19th.  The White Team was victorious, but all that mattered was that the girls had fun.  Anna and Kendyl, playing for the Black Team, were slotted as outside linebackers in the first half, while taking on running back and quarterback duties, respectively, in the second half.  Let's get right to the action!

Pommin' At Senior Night!

At least the Pommers were dressed for the weather!

Eden, Anna, and the rest of the Pommers were in action for the Ships final homegame.  Let's get right to the pictures:

Gettin' Dolled Up

You might think I'm shoehorning some extra photos I have of Homecoming into one last post just because Homecoming was so awesome and I needed to do one more post.  I totally understand your position and you might even be right.  However, the preparation for this dance was just as sporting as anything I've seen this year:  You try to apply hair spray and makeup to Eden sometime.  See if you make it out alive.  Anna and Erin tried just that.  And Eden looked as beautiful as ever!

Pommin' Homecoming

The Homecoming game was the first game that both Eden and Anna pommed together!  While Eden was a little rusty from so much tennis and not enough practice time, the routine was still pretty cool.  And I loved that it DIDN'T have a kick line.  Way to try something new ladies!

Homecoming Parade

Look at us, walking down the street.  Are you not entertained?

Parades have never been something I've ever really enjoyed.  I believe they're something that used to be entertaining, before TV, VCRs, 8-Tracks, CDs, computers, DVDs, video games, HDTV, cell phones, and smart phones, but now are merely a relic of times gone by.  This parade, however, was AWESOME!  And, once again, it was my sister, Eden, who was the catalyst.

Let's start with the Junior Class and their float preparation for the big day:

"Pummel Pulaski"  Ahhhhh.  I see what you did there.
Not everyone was working hard:

Very nice, Lexie.  Very nice indeed.  Enough of this prep, let's just get to the Parade.

10/5 - Juniors 14 - Seniors 7

The Superfans got to turn things around and actually play the game on this night.
After a defensive struggle in the first half of Wednesday's annual Lincoln High School Powder Puff game, the juniors and seniors traded offensive scoring drives.  Then, one of the junior girls cut, weaved, and spun her way for touchdown after intercepting a senior pass, scoring the decisive points for the juniors in their huge upset victory.  Clearly, all that coaching from Nick and Jonah didn't hurt, but I'm pretty sure this biggest motivator for the juniors was Eden.  You'll see.  Now, we took a lot of photos during this one.  A LOT.  So go grab a cup of hot apple cider.  You're going to be here awhile.

Dancing on Parents' Night

It was Parents' Night for seemingly everyone at the Ships game Friday night.  My sissies were no different.

Such a nice family.
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand here's the real Ed.
Elle and her parents.  She gets her hair from her mom.
Eden has been too busy serving aces to learn the routines, so Anna was the only sister on the field during the Parade Young Girls on the Field to Boost Attendance Kids Clinic performance.  As such, she was charged with welcoming a half man to the field.

Whudup?
And a few others.

Anna's favorite part of the game.
And, just like that, it was halftime.  Time to shine.

Gimmie an "L"
Gimmie an "A"
Gimmie an "M"
Gimmie an "E"
What is this gimmick?  Lame!
You'd think they were talking with Austin or Shav.
Let's see that kick line in action:

Big finish ladies.
New hair trend?
You can't beat that school spirit.  Or the look on the drummer's face.

9/10 Manitowoc Ladies Tennis Tournament

With Ashwaubenon and Roncalli taking on the Lady Ships on a perfect Saturday afternoon, I knew I had to catch my favorite tennis players in action.  The Ships beat Ashwaubenon in early AM action, but lost to Roncalli later in the morning.  I saw Eden and Megan lose to Roncalli 2-6, 2-6, but they looked like they had fun both during and after the game:

That's some good dental work.
Onto the action:

What do you think of those calves, Hansther?

Eden, you don't look ready - why not?

*yawn*  Oh, right.  NONE of you teens are getting enough sleep.

Jonah must've just walked by...

It worked!  She's awake!

Now we're swinging it with vigor!

Ready position, finally!

And let's not forget my sort-of sister, Seidl.  She also had a tough match against Roncalli, losing 1-6, 4-6.  But I think you'll agree, she looked great doing it:

"I am going to kill Tanner for blowing me off like bubble gum."

Loosen up, Seids.  Pretend that ball is Tanner's head and give it a whack.

Excellent!  Again?

Yup.  I think I found a way to motivate her.

OK, OK.  Easy.  He just wanted to watch the Badger game.  And it's not like he knows how to use a DVR.

Seids - were YOU the one who taught that to Jonah?

These next three photos are my favorites.  Thank you, Seidl.  That shot was brilliant.

So.  Many.  Jokes.

That's just AWESOME!

You can almost hear that classic, ladies tennis grunt...

She's all over the place - she got the moves like Jagger.

Gratuitous calf-muscle shot.

Slicin'.  Dicin'.

Just because she didn't win doesn't mean she didn't kick ass:

Seidl: ass kicker.

Eden didn't care, though.  Just one more time she got her ass kicked today.

Besties.  Always.
