10/5 - Juniors 14 - Seniors 7

The Superfans got to turn things around and actually play the game on this night.
After a defensive struggle in the first half of Wednesday's annual Lincoln High School Powder Puff game, the juniors and seniors traded offensive scoring drives.  Then, one of the junior girls cut, weaved, and spun her way for touchdown after intercepting a senior pass, scoring the decisive points for the juniors in their huge upset victory.  Clearly, all that coaching from Nick and Jonah didn't hurt, but I'm pretty sure this biggest motivator for the juniors was Eden.  You'll see.  Now, we took a lot of photos during this one.  A LOT.  So go grab a cup of hot apple cider.  You're going to be here awhile.

The fearless leaders of the junior class.

The seniors looked like a well-oiled machine in warm-ups.

Eden even thinks the National Anthem is funny.
Looks like the old Packers' sweep left.
Lexi!  Get off that blocker!
When the juniors got the ball, they came out firing.  This pass went to the Wes Welker of the team:
Good catch Seidl.  But don't face-plant next time.
On 4th and long, Nick chose a familiar trick play: HB option pass.  Nice throw, Eden.
Best part of the picture?  Paige looks like a sprinter rounding the track.
If Jonah is a half-man playing center at his size, Paige is a quarter woman.  Let's just call her 25 Cent.
Action shots of big tackles aren't as impressive in flag football.
Great block, Paige.  You should teach that to Jonah.
No idea who that is.
They started the next play before she was ready, though, which made me laugh.
Yes, Paige.  That's the ball.
Huge TFL by Lexie.  Teach that one to Austin.
Crap, a senior got behind the defense!  The pass is perfect...
Whoops.  Must be a natural running back.
Dancers? Nope. They're football players at heart.
Worst part about not having a helmet? Nothing to keep the hair out of your eyes.
Eden, thinking hard about what else she could possibly do to be silly.
No, Austin!  Don't tell her!
Too late.  And is that a wedding ring, sis?
Nowhere to run.
Hmmmmmmm.
Yep.  Jonah is clearly one of their coaches.
The juniors dodged a bullet when this pass fell incomplete at the end of the first half.
We know they listen to Jonah, but apparently not Nick.
"OMG!  Are those boys over there?"
"Yeah!  But they aren't cheering like WE cheer!"
"Boys!  We can't hear you!"
"I can't hear you?  What?  You're doing your best?  Please."
Don't worry, girls.  Eden is enough of a cheerleader for everyone.
The seniors drew blood first and Paige did her best Tanner/Pistol impersonation.
Eden's ready to block.  I think.
Biggest play of the game.  I won't even bust her for holding the ball like Mr. Vance.
14 points = 14 pushups.  Keep your butt down, Austin!
With time not running down, due to some senior shenanigans, Tanner Sieded with his girl and got the clock running again.
The seniors had one last chance, but ran backwards.
Are you thinking what I'm thinking?  That someone needs to show these guys the weight room?
I mean, it's great you won, Jonah.  But you're enjoying this one a little too much.
Can someone explain to me how she went from this...
To this?  Thanks for taking care of her, though, Lexie.
Hey, Jonah?  Eli doesn't look too happy about losing.  And he's not a guy you want to piss off.
Yep, Eli kicked his ass.  Much to Eden's enjoyment.
Paige and her "prodigy."
Besties.
